Island Lakes Kitchen and Bathroom
This great family desperately needed another shower! Their teenager was having to use their shower or the one in the basement. The builders decided to take the shower out of the hallway bath and make the master bathroom larger. But, these people needed it back. And since we were there, why not renovate the kitchen too! The layout of the kitchen, especially all the angles, was driving them nuts! We cut the stubwall down in length and width by the patio door which enabled us to put in a larger island—and a rectangular island—no crazy angles! We extended the wall by the range so another angle disappeared and large, super functional drawers were added on either side of the range. And by the fridge, we hid the existing angle by incorporating pantries. Pot lights, pendants, gorgeous quartz, white cabinetry and chrome accents to accentuate the gorgeous herringbone white/chrome backsplash. In the master bathroom, we moved the toilet so that the shower could be added in the hallway bathroom. We got rid of the angled corner bathtub and installed a gorgeous deep tub. The biggest change was the shower! It was very dark and the glass blocks needed to go. We added a light, put in gorgeous tile and glass doors. And the quartz bench is absolutely perfect! Now, mom and dad have their bathroom back and the teenager has his own shower!!
